Why is basement pump monitoring so important?

February 9, 2023

Pump system monitoring gives you peace of mind, whether you’ve got a basement pump in your home or your business.

It’s pretty simple…

Once our monitoring technology is installed, our dedicated Operations Centre can keep an eye on your pump at all times, allowing us to spot any problems and work out how to fix them.

This will mean that any issues are resolved quickly before they worsen… saving you precious time and money.

We’re here to make the process of ensuring that your pump can be monitored as easy as possible… All you need to do is pair one of our bespoke monitoring systems with a service plan.

What is SideWinder Tech?

SideWinder Tech is our very own monitoring system that the team here at PPS developed.

It’s a big deal… It’s the first piece of software designed to allow predictive maintenance in the domestic pump market.

With one of our service plans (PumpSmart or PumpSmart+), our dedicated Operations Centre is here for you 24 hours a day to act on any alerts.

You can check out the range of monitored PPS Service Plans here.

How does SideWinder Tech monitoring work?

A SideWinder-compatible device connected to your Wi-Fi will provide information to the SideWinder Tech monitoring system a minimum of every 15 minutes – or sooner should an ‘event’ occur that triggers the system.

The SideWinder Tech will then analyse this data and determine whether or not any human intervention or action is required.

If the information isn’t received, this raises the alarm and notifies the Operations Centre, who will decide what to do next.

You’ll also be sent a notification straight to your phone if we ever detect a problem!
